The Server & Storage Administrator is responsible for configuring and implementing company
computer
system hardware and software infrastructure specializing in Server Operating System, Server Hardware and SAN administration. Install, configure, test, debug, and document systems. Install programs and assist in the improvement of and the adherence to company computer security policy, systems development standards, and other company and technical department policies and processes. Perform project management and mentor less experienced technical specialists.

Essential Functions:
o Apply professional principles and judgment to implement information technology systems and maintain Ashley's technical infrastructure; create, install, and test medium to complex systems and document system design and support.
o Solve complex technical problems by applying logical troubleshooting ideology and utilize technology to assist in issue identification and resolution. Support other IT specialists, IT management, and users in the resolution of problems. Document problems and their resolution and maintain documents library.
o Protect IT assets by supporting and maintaining the company's 24/7 operational systems as assigned. Perform maintenance of the systems to ensure the required levels of update, availability, performance, security and reliability.
o Lead, develop, and organize Corporate Computer Operations Department. Manage
employee
performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan, and /or implement training and skill development activities.
o Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
o Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

Requirements
Required Experience:
2 years in Information Systems or meets equivalent skill requirements
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
o Mastery of Business and Technical Problem Solving, Computer Operations
o Effective at communicating and presenting ideas to management, customers, and end users
o Departmental Management, Human Relations
o Displays both technical and supervisory leadership
o Capable of developing a short and long range plans for areas of responsibility
Knowledge of:
o Computer Technologies sufficient to direct others in the managed specialty
o IBM AS400 equipment and operating system and related networking components
o Replication (OMS and Symbiator)
o Wired and wireless terminals
o Physical Security, Air conditioning, and UPS technology
o Furniture business

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
