What You'll Do
The Infrastructure Operations Manager at Sentry will:
Reviews requests for system modifications/enhancements with users and management and assigns resources. Provides input relative to the needs of system development, reviews all requirements and makes recommendations.
Reviews systems designs for achievement for objectives, conformance to standards and opportunity for improvement.
Provides technical leadership to the business organization.
Manage and administer telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, VoIP, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response, and other telephony applications.
Manage multiple telecommunications projects concurrently. Identify potential risks and design strategies to mitigate or avoid them. Monitor and track the project progress and recommend changes to project plan in response to unforeseen changes or unexpected results.
Develop long-range telecommunications and messaging plans.
Design and oversee telecommunications projects to improve or expand the current infrastructure. Coordinates systems projects between units and provides leadership to other units when required.
Participates in the decision making for hardware and software for voice and messaging solutions.
Ensures that all systems are tuned for optimum performance.
Performs other job-related duties requiring the same general knowledge, skills and degree of responsibility commensurate with assigned level.
Research emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of telecommunications equipment procurement and development efforts.
Identify opportunities for greater efficiencies through process improvement, systems integration and assist in implementation of these solutions
Prepare telecommunications budget recommendations.

What it Takes
You will need the ability to work in normal office noise levels, be able to lift up to 25 pounds under 1/3 of the time; Stand under 1/3 of the time; Walk under 1/3 of the time; Sit up to 2/3 of the time; Use hands over 2/3 of the time; Reach with hands and arms under 1/3 of the time; and Talk or hear over 2/3 of the time.
Qualifications for the position include:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
5-8 years of related work experience.
Communications and human relations skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Experience with architecting and administering Avaya telecommunications environment.
Familiarity with contact center strategies and developing large-scale systems through the entire development life cycle desired.
Experience with VoIP, call management systems, voicemail, IVR, email, instant messaging, and MDM solutions.
Experience in deploying enterprise class solutions and understanding issues related to maintaining a mission critical system desired.
Knowledge of the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and management of telecommunications and messaging software and hardware.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems,
Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of vendors.
Desired traits include
Previous experience as a manager, especially in an IT management role.
