Maintenance Associates are responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the store. Maintenance Associates are a dedicated resource within the store and are responsible for executing facility related programs in compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines and ensuring the store's cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met.
Mills Fleet Farm store hours are 8am - 9pm Monday through Friday, 8am - 8pm on Saturdays and 8am - 6pm on Sundays (except Fargo, ND is open 12pm - 6pm on Sundays). Part-Time Team Members work a flexible schedule depending on availability and business needs including nights, weekends and holidays up to 27 hours per week.
Maintenance Associates are responsible for:
Providing excellent customer service by responding with a sense of urgency to our customers' needs while completing other tasks.
Monitoring and performing general maintenance. on all store equipment. Store equipment may include repairs for forklifts, floor scrubber, baler, doors, generators, heating and cooling units, trash compactor, lights, carts, air compressors, and gates.
Scrubbing, maintaining, and cleaning floors and windows.
Maintaining a clean Yard and parking lot area including lights, signs, grass/weed control, security fences/gates, debris/garbage pickup, and painting/repainting as needed.
Maintenance of walkways and parking lot areas including snow/ice removal, salting/sanding of ice as needed, shopping cart retrieval, and general repair of ruts and potholes.
Setting up merchandise shelving as directed.
Maintaining clean and sanitized restrooms and breakrooms on a daily basis and on an as-needed basis.
Manually retrieving multiple shopping carts from the parking lot, in groups of up to five at a time. If applicable, Team Member will be required to use designated cart retrieving equipment to retrieve more than five carts at a time.
Promptly emptying all refuse containers into the proper disposal unit.
Light carpentry work including the design and building of displays, etc.
Assisting contract maintenance persons including those assisting in repairs with the heating/cooling system, forklifts, loading docks, etc.
Following all company policies and procedures and ensuring a safe working environment.
Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot.
Assist with customer carry outs.

Job Requirements for this position are:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have a positive, friendly and outgoing personality.
Desire to work with the public.
Must be dependable, honest, courteous and self-motivated.
Familiar with basic computer functions.
Able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements for this position are:
Ability to remain standing and/or walking for long periods of time on concrete floors.
Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift frequently.
Continuously lift up to 10lbs., frequently lift up to 25 lbs., and be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
