Account Clerk
Description of Duties: This position is responsible for the client billing and collection services for Portage County Health & Human Services. This position obtains billing information, prepares and submits insurance claims to third party pay sources, statements to private pay clients, maintains accounts receivable, and follows up on any delinquent account balances.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years' experience of medical billing and collection practices in health care or related setting preferred.
Two years of general office experience required
Combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
Beginning wage: $14.96 - maximum $16.62/hour
